“It’s not all about us, it is all about you!”. You are the difference.
We are sales people, engineers, experienced eCommerce business owners, we have a deep knowledge of sales and the sales process (since it was in black and white, or at least, printed on paper only!). We understand what works technically and practically. Engineering degree, a lifetime selling (success and failure) and getting eCommerce to work.
Our focus is helping you make your money. We do one thing, really well, no flaff, no industry buzzwords to keep the layman out, no tactics, no therapy, no smoke and mirrors, just get to work with that works. The focus is on ridiculous growth for your business and hence, our business.
Track record, case studies, transparency, we have been mentored by the best.
Founder and Old Man of Marketing, Robert, got an honours degree in Engineering, he was top in corporate sales and he has worked for himself for nearly 20 years, in this space of helping owner-managers get more business. IN sport too, he is always part of a winning team, the safe pair of hands, the glue sticking it all together. Alan has huge practical, entrepreneurial experience, including owning and running a 350 strong security business, a dozen eCommerce websites, DJ experience and setting up and running radio stations, then on contract doing this stuff in a major corporate.
A track record of success.
Why Me?
When we looked at this and other similar offerings, why us, what’s the difference, is there someone else out there “better”, more experienced, a better fit? Maybe, they will be different, but they are not us and we are here now!
Selling is at the core of all of this yes, a business cannot live with out sales, but we are more than that, we look at the business, what business are you in, what could you do wth it, how do you handle the logistics? We usually find that one single strand of what we do pays our fee.
- We saved a company €30,000 on a magento licence renewal and had a website done for them for €7,500 that delivered the same outcome.
- We had a small client that was upgrading to ecommerce, when we suggested a change in logistics approach, they immediately saved the value of our fee.
- Another customer didn’t even realise he had a logistics problem, but 30 shipments had gone astray until he followed our advice on approach.
- Or the guy who was being held to ransom by his web developer, now he has developed a whole new monthly recurring revenue stream and two new businesse and zero to 400 leads in three months and all for less than the money the developer was demanding (PS he had already paid 21k for a brochure website!).
- But, how do you get a website done? How can you save money that could be used on Marketing?
- Ever hear of email? Remember that? Or cold calling? How many staff do you want? Why? Is there a better way? Are you working “IN” the business or “ON” the business? Are yu doing the thinking or the operating? If you could not work tomorrow, what would happen to the business? Why?
Ass an engineer, I have always looked for systems, something duplicatable, consistent. As a salesman, I sold support contracts, monthly/annual recurring revenue. And that was where the value was in the business, not the €95,000,000 worth of tin boxes sold, the consultancy revenue, not the other ten million in customer services revenue, but the recurring revenue stream! How much is your business worth? Try 5 or 6 times that amunt, how would that look?
So we are business advisors, business consultants, but we are showing you how, you are not dependent on us, you own it, you deliver, you manage it, or rather the team.

Selling methodologies, how did I get here?
“It does this by implementing a sales framework, a system of people, process and technology that deliver a complete digital business.
It is not training, but a whole way of working, a professional approach to getting business, every t crossed and i dotted! It is a consistent approach that anyone with enthusiasm and commitment can master and implement, it can make Eagles out of Turkeys, as long as it is done from a viewpoint of the “Customer is King”.
It allows all the experts to have an input, design, branding, talented entrepreneurship, a professional sports’ style approach to complete preparation and implementation.
It is about execution not thinking, delivery not dawdling!”
I was the accidental salesman. My Dad died the week of my 14th birthday. Ironically, I write this at the age he was that faithful week. So I avoided the route of my elder brothers: Pirate Radio DJ and Punk Rock drummer, I like to say I became the blacksheep of the family and got a degree and a pensionable job.
I probably should have always realised I was a salesman. I used to work with my Mother during the summers, assembling lighting fittings, sweeping the stores, whatever and off to lunch with my Mother. I loved it. On occasions, she would “page” the Stores for me to join her on the floor and there she was, “at business” as she called it, fish in a barrel! She woudl have meengage the people in this huge showroom. I knew all the stuff inside out, so I could tell them the features, benefits, where a light would work, what bulbs they took, how they were hng, but she was class, ever the order book and pen in hand.
Whe I did the first course in DIT Kevin Street (WRTT), Technician engineering diploma in telecoms, comuters and electronics, they moved the goalposts to qualify for the degree course, but they nly did it as we approached the exams, so I oculd only do what I could do and i was 3% off the everage needed. So I had to do an interview, 2 heads of department, the one I was coming from and the one I was going to, and their Assistant Heads! I was brilliant, after a really rough interview- or sales call if you like- I closed it with “Look, I can see you have your doubts, how about, if I do not pass the exams, I do not repeat the year, I just leave and I am out of (what’s left of) your hair? Deal? I passed! Mind you, the start of the next year, the Assistant Head was lecturing and I whispered “here we go again”, to the guy beside me, turns out, it wasn’t a whisper. After a very tetchy exchange, we met and discussed it, he had never had it iinted out to hi befre how he worked, so we agreed to help each other. And he (Bill Grimson) did, he gave me the pass that got me the honours degree: “40s, low forties, VERY LOW forties” were his exact words, “Thank You” were mine.
A mate from school invited me to play soccer locally, that went really well, but he got me a job with him as an engineer, but I was on my own, pre internet days, so I left after a year and my cousin got me a job in an office equipment company. Another long and funny story, for another day. But here is where the sales process came in.
The Managing Director, was a former XEROX sales trainer, he was brilliant, I loved working with him. But just like playing football, the companies I worked for seemed to think we all new how to sell, no training, no formal coaching. I did the Irish Management Institute’s Account Management course, a customer gave me the great Book, How to be a rainmaker, I read all around me. But I did struggle, because I am not a hard closer, or rather, I didnt understand the impact on me or the client of me not being professional, of getting in an out without wasting their time or mine. But I did do long sales cycle stuff well. I proved myself in the long run and in CARA I found my place in sales. My Boss called me “The Barrack Obama of sales”. He also told me not to “Mother Hen my Team” or to be so “Openly hostile” to another Sales Manager…. And that was the prblem I had, working to someone else’s agenda, not understanding why reporting, forecasting, consistency were important to them.
All this time, my wife Úna, was working for The Irish Times and with their training and approach to telesales, is the single best phone based salesperson I have ever seen in operation. Again, a process, a system, 9 steps. I have kept her notes and manuals. Well I have kept everything.
We were bought by a multinational and I think that suited me. And they had to get the prediction for the stock market right, so they introduced us to Solution Selling by Michael T Bosworth and his organisation who brought us their system. I hated the training in the UK, it interfered with making money, but used the system.
Bull also paid for me to become Gartner certified TCO (total cost of ownership) Expert consultant. That was eye opening, although they did get upset when I told them I didn’t do exams. Yes, another story! We also introduce the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and the ITSMF (IT Service Management Forum) into the Owner Manager/SME community in Ireland, again, systems, communication, process, people, technology combining. I used them to find out what exactly were the problems the customers were having, personally and professionally, to design a service that genuinely delivered for them what they were yearning for, a pain free environment! We started by designing Cara Centric, before others were even thinking that way, then developed into Bull’s ServiceDesk model, in our own way. Concept, design, sold it, implemented it, managed it, got paid lots.
I loved the detailed preparation, understanding that many are not ready, but suffering “latent pain” and need to be shwn a vision of possibility, then bringing the prospect around the nine box dancefloor, qualifying properly, keeping your product in your pocket, understanding where you are at all times and how to behave, then how to close and how to report. Brilliant.
So why has it taken me 18 years to come back around? Well I am a slow starter, I like to be sure, sure it took me ten years to propose to my girlfriend, but I have been using it ever since, just not formally.
Now we get the opportunity to work with others and bring it right up to the 21st century. Some will only make it initially to the 20th, but that is improvement! The All Ireland Business Forum have made me an Accredited Business All Star, Thought leader in Digital Sales Consulting, well that was the only box they could find for me!

Covid has taught us people can work from home so if you are looking to build a remote, motivated, well-paid sales team, then you are in the right place.
- If you are looking for someone to take responsibility for generating sales you are in the wrong place.
- If you are looking for someone to implement the framework for you, you are in the wrong place.
- If you are looking for a way to build an asset that you can sell to make your pension, then you are in the right place.
- If you are looking for the ability to say NO more often, then you are in the right place.
- If you have tried e-commerce, if you have tried digital marketing, tried Google Ads, tried Facebook ads, if you have hired salesmen, if you have tried and failed, then you are in the right place.
- If you are a start-up, pay attention, you will learn something, if you are self-funding and hope to DIY, then you are in the right place.
- if you’re going to DIY but have no money, you are in the wrong place, but stay in touch on the mailing list.
- If you got the transformation in your business you were looking for and looked back thinking, “that was worth the twenty-five grand I paid them”, then you are in the right place.
- If you are the guy who can say “NO”, but can’t say “Yes”, then you are in the wrong place!
- What happens if you do not solve the problem that has you here today?
- What does it mean to you to solve it?
And best of all your business will generate all this on autopilot!
